Bread Rolls


  • Oven temp: 400 F-200 C

    2 cups refined flour

    1 tsp dry yeast

    1/2 tsp sugar dissolved in lukewarm water

    1 tsp salt

    1 tsp oil lukewarm water to knead dough greased baking tray

    1 egg, slightly beaten


Sprinkle the yeast over the sugar solution and leave it in a draught free place to froth.

Rub the oil into the flour, add salt and knead to a soft dough using water as required.

Leave to rise, covered with plastic wrap. When risen, punch and knead a little again, and leave to rise once again.

Divide dough into 8 lumps; roll smooth into a ball and shape into desired shapes of rolls.

Place on a greased baking tray, cover with a damp cloth and leave to rise.

Brush with the egg, and bake in a pre-heated oven for about 20 minutes.
